abracadabra cape cod began in 1980. 

Christine Tynan, owner, started out by cleaning residences solo. In a very short time she took on a partner and they pooled their clients and began hiring staff to handle all their new clients. In 1984, when Christine's first child was six months old, it became too diffifcult to bring him on jobs and so she worked behind the scenes, getting new clients, billing customers, doing payroll, and all the things that needed to be done to keep things running. As a single parent of three children who didn't want to put them daycare, working from home was a good option. As the children grew up and started school, Christine was able to focus more on the business and started taking on vacation rentals cleaning, restaurants and offices, post construction cleaning, even small interior painting jobs. One of her favorite mottos is: in order to make a living on Cape Cod you have to wear alot of different hats! Many of abracadabras clients rely on Christine's knowledge of the uniqueness of Cape Cod homes and climate and the issues related to them. She has lived on Cape Cod since 1980 and her work with clients and contractors has given a pretty broad base of useful information that she is more than happy to share.
